Greetings and thank you for visiting!
July 2009
This month's scripture:
"The Parable of the Growing Seed"
"This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain-first the stalk, then the head, then full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come."
"The Parable of the Mustard Seed"
Again he said, "What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade."-Mark 4:26-32, NIV
Sermon:
"Grace and peace to you in the name of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. I sincerely hope and pray that your relationship with Him today is genuine, complete, and ever-growing in divine improvement & quality of commitment (which always begins & is sustains via mandatory & daily Bible reading & prayer, as well as regular church attendance and witnessing).
The first part of our current lesson deals with how obedience to our Lord (which only wise people have, since all others will face eternal damnation, and no one wants that) is truly planted in our hearts, minds, and souls. It is a gift from our heavenly father, instead of something which we create (since we are nothing and doomed without proper allegiance to Him at all times), and He continually works in us to mold us into the compassionate, loving, forgiving, and productive servant which He originally made us to be (for His joy, exclusively). However, though He is in control, our commanded duty is to be diligent about fully living for Him, seeking His will in all things, and constantly communicating with Him so as to find favor in His eyes. How can you improve on that necessity, now? Be steadfast; 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV) states "stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." Additionally, Matthew 6:33 (NIV) compliments this perfect wisdom via instructing all of us on how to be righteous: "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Secondly & in conclusion, it is vital to really understand and remember that our walk with our maker is always the most important & largest thing about our existence, regardless of what the world of darkness thinks and/or does, because this life is temporary & nothing in comparison to the eternal bliss which awaits us as believers (so increase the value of your communication & zeal for our heavenly father, while focusing more on loving Him with all your heart & adoring your neighbor as yourself). God bless!"
